As part of the Generation Equality Forum (30 June - 2 July 2021), France is pleased to invite you to the event “Education of girls at the core of Generation Equality Forum” which will be held by videoconference on Friday, 2 July from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (CET).
This event aims to highlight the key role of girls' education as an essential and cross-cutting lever for achieving the objectives of the six action coalitions of the Generation Equality Forum, as well as the Education 2030 agenda.
Participating states and organizations will present the key actions undertaken to make girls' education a priority in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the upcoming commitments over the next five years, and beyond, to achieve gender equality in and through education. The event will focus on the mobilization of a coalition of actors - UNESCO, the Global Partnership for Education, France, Ireland, the Youth Taskforce, Malala Fund, Plan International, UNICEF- over the past 18 months to put education at the center of the Generation Equality Forum’s agenda.
